Student Safety, Privacy and Support
The Board of Trustees wishes to maintain safety, privacy, and a supportive environment for all students with regard to gender, and directs the Superintendent or designee to establish procedures that address the following areas:
- Require parental notification and consent prior to development of student support plans that have gender components.
- Maintenance of biological sex-separated areas wherever students may need to change clothing.
- Protection against compulsory gender-based language by either students or staff.
- Ensure that student athletes on sex-separated teams participate according to their biological sex.
These procedures must also follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
