The Rules of Order for a Regular Meeting will generally include, but not be limited to:
- Call to Order
- Pledge of Allegiance
- Reports and Spotlights
- Patron Input
- Consent Agenda
- Old Business
- New Business
- Executive Session
- Good of the Order
- Adjournment
Governing Procedure for Patron Input
Patrons may testify before the Board of Trustees on agendized business items as follows:
- Patrons shall reside within the District or be a current staff member, enrolled student, or parent/guardian of an enrolled student.
- Patrons shall provide their name and address for the record.
- Patrons shall indicate the agendized business item for which they are providing input.
- Patrons shall present in a respectful manner.
- Patrons shall not refer to any specific student or employee or other such matter that should only be addressed in executive session.
- Patrons shall have up to two (2) minutes to present their public comments, with additional time granted at the Chair's discretion.
Trustees will not respond to Patron Input comments directly, but may take action to address questions or issues following Open Session. Patrons who do not meet or follow these standards will be restricted from comment and have their participation stricken from the record.
Governing Procedure for Adding New Business Item
Patrons may request an item to be added to the agenda as a new business item as follows:
- Patrons requesting a new business item must reside within the District or be a current staff member, enrolled student, or parent/guardian of an enrolled student.
- Requests must be directly related to school district business.
- Requests may only be related to a subject matter addressable in open session.

Requests must be submitted in writing to the Clerk of the Board and must include:

The name and address of the requesting party.
- The proposed action item for the Board of Trustees to consider.
Requests will be accepted for future consideration on either the assent of two Board Members or the Chair and, if accepted, will be added as New Business items at the earliest practical opportunity.
Governing Procedure for Good of the Order
Patrons may testify before the Board of Trustees on matters not related to agendized business items during Good of the Order:
- Patrons shall reside within the District or be a current staff member, enrolled student, or parent/guardian of an enrolled student.
- Patrons shall provide their name and address for the record.
- Patrons shall present in a respectful manner.
- Patrons shall not refer to any specific student or employee or other such matter that should only be addressed in executive session.
- Patrons shall have up to two (2) minutes to present their public comments, with additional time granted at the Chair's discretion.
Trustees may participate in Good of the Order directly.
